چکیده
Background: Respiratory Tract Infection (RTI) is a very common disease in our country. Bacterial infections the respiratory tract causing significant morbidity andmortality hospitalized patients. Information on prevalence of bacterial infection RTI health care settings lacking. Moreover, injudicious use antibiotics often leads to antibiotic resistance which an emerging problem. The objective this study was determine and patterns pathogens isolated from sputum samples admitted patients suffering tertiary teaching hospital Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) era. Materials methods: In cross-sectional 104 who were Medicine Department Chittagong Medical College Hospital with diagnosis February 2021 June included. isolates culture confirmed by standard microbiological methods. Antibiotic determined using disk diffusion method. Results: Out processed 92 (88.5%) cases had established etiology. Klebsiella (45.2%) most organism followed Pseudomonas (17.2%) Acinetobacter (14.4%). antimicrobial susceptibility testing, Imipenem meropenem sensitive against Klebsiella. Ciprofloxacin, levofloxacin, imipenem, piperacillin Pseudomonas. highly resistant ceftriaxone. Conclusions: pattern varied for different organisms. Therefore, appropriate identification causative organisms their crucial right choice therapy LRTIs. JCMCTA ; 32 (2) : 8-13

متن کاملEpidemiology of Urinary Tract Infection and Antibiotic Resistance Pattern in Patients Referred to Amiralmomenin Hospital of Gerash City in 2018
Background and Aims: Urinary tract infections are one of the most common human infections seen in all age groups and both sexes. Inappropriate use of antibiotics to treat urinary tract infection causes the resistance of the pathogens to the drug. The present study aimed to determine the frequency of gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria and antibiotic resistance patterns in patients with uri...

ABSTRACT Community-acquired respiratory tract infections (RTIs) are prevalent conditions in the U.S. and represent a major burden in health care. This article provides an overview of empirical antibiotic treatment options for patients with communityacquired RTIs, including newer classes of agents, such as the respiratory fluoroquinolones and the ketolides. We also discuss the clinical and econo...
